I used the heart rate monitor with my new Garmin Forerunner 305 (thanks again Amy!) today and the plot is attached. You can see where I had a walk at halfway and I left it on to capture my cool down walk. Pretty cool stuff! 
Its interesting how my heart rate increases but my pace stays constant, I guess thats a sign of my fitness regression!

  1. celestegivesup said: When you exercise, your body becomes dehydrated, which makes your blood thicker. The heart has to work harder to pump more viscous blood, causing your heart rate to increase (no matter what effort). I learned this in one of my sports nutrition books!
